Our introductory driving courses for the under-seventeens are a great way to overcome the nerves and to get their driving off to a flying start before their seventeenth birthday.
The course comprises six theory and six practical sessions. The theory sessions are held on a Thursday evening at Yate Library in West Walk, they start at 6.45pm and finish at around 8pm. The one-hour practical sessions are held in Chipping Sodbury on Saturday and Sunday mornings, starting at 9am, 10am and sometimes 11 or 11.30am.
During the practical sessions we aim to teach pupils all the necessary basic car-control skills in the safety of a private road network so that they’ll be able to face their first lesson on a public road with confidence. They don’t need to have a provisional licence.
In total they’ll receive over thirteen hours of tuition (practical and theory)
We only use fully qualified (and fully insured) Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructors with dual controlled cars. We’re able to keep the cost of the course down by having a ratio of three pupils to one instructor on the practical sessions. Pupils find that this works really well in the initial stages of driving. Twenty minutes (or two x ten-minute sessions) behind the wheel is just about right; then it’s surprising how much they can learn from the back seat once the pressure is off, so to speak, by watching someone else have a go.

The cost of the course is £96. You can, if you want, pay an initial deposit of £32 and pay the balance of £64 when you attend the first theory session. Cheques need to be made payable to "NADIA" and won't be cashed untill the course begins.
